A look at: Pokémon Go
Lately I have been looking at the product that is known as Pokémon Go, I am hesitant to even call this a game as I am still debating whether or not I believe it is one. It's certainly something, I'll give it that.

I'm going to just assume everyone knows what the Pokémon franchise is, I mean it was made in the mid 90's and hasn't (yet) experienced a slow excruciating death yet, unlike most beloved series from around that time or even later. #FUCKONAMI. Anywho, even if you do know what Pokémon is; it doesn't necessarily man you know what Pokémon Go is, you're probably even more likely not to know it if you're not in the US, Australia or New Zealand. Apologies if I missed out your country but that's the only ones I know.

So what is Pokémon Go?
Simple it's an AR (Augmented Reality) experience. (This is where I get back to my internal debate of whether this is a game or not). I think I prefer the term AR experience but then that leads to the other debate what defines a "game". So basically it's all just subjective so then it makes me think who gives a shit? Because either way it doesn't matter.
The main premise of Pokémon Go is that it is Pokémon, you play a Pokémon trainer who walks around trying to catch Pokémon as a way to compensate for the size of their penis. The catch with Pokémon Go however is that it uses your phones location so you have to physically walk around and when you eventually find a Pokémon it will appear on your camera and so on. There's also gyms in certain locations and you can become king. I actually like this idea because ever since Pokémon became a thing everyone wanted to be the Pokémon trainer and go out and catch their own Pokémon's (I don't feel like that's the plural but whatever).

Problems with Pokémon Go:
Since the game has just came out (in some areas) there are obviously problems with the servers with the massive amount of people trying to play this at once and obviously Nintendo have completely underestimated the popularity of the game. However it also goes further than this because with everything like this there are idiots who use it too for example it is said people have been injured themselves whilst using this app. Because of course they have. On start up Pokémon Go even warns you to "BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS" it's there for a reason. I have seen a lot of people complaining about Pokémon Go, although I am surprised not as many people have complained about the micro-transactions in the game. I don't really like them but I also don't really have many opinions on them, so... yeah. this is pretty dry isn't it? Like a bad cake. I have also seen weirder complaints such as Pokémon Go is contributing to inequality and bizarre stuff like that, I didn't read that cause it seemed very clickbaity. There are others like people being mugged for Pokémon but I think that seems pretty unlikely.

Pokémon Go isn't perfect, it isn't great but I like it, I feel like it has a certain charm to it and if they can fix the servers so that they actually work I think it will be a lot more fun. I think this has potential as long it is handled correctly and not just forgotten about and left with no servers.
