Short Story: The Mark

The mark: The human mind often believes what it wishes to believe, even if it means abandoning rational thinking; instead replacing it with fantasies imagined by the wild dreamer. Name: Robert Green Sunday, 12th – Friday, 17th February 2017 Location: Durham In the dead of night, the man had awoke with a peculiar mark on the back of his right hand. The man in question was: Robert Green, he was a man of 24 with no next of kin and had not been in contact with his immediate family for quite some time, nor did he know any of his extended family. He lived alone in a small flat just outside of Durham. The flat is what you would expect from a man experiencing, what could only hoped to be described as, a prolonged existential crisis; a man with no family and his only friend being a queer little black cat that was always found wandering the row of flats yet belonged to non of his neighbors. Robert often looked after the cat and made sure it was fed. Night 1: Robert eyes slowly crept o...

Short Story: The Construction Worker

The Construction Worker   Newcastle;  a city run by the rats and pigeons, a city infested by drunks and populated with construction workers.    Incident  took place on:   Monday, April 14 th  2017,    10:21 am .   Just off Northumberland street four  construction  workers wer e at work, one down a manhole and three standing  waiting  for their friend to come back. One of the men had called to their friend; wondering where he had gone , they had been waiting a full twenty minutes. A routine check up on the bowls of the city  couldn't take this long, could it? The men were not getting worried as such, because the city is safe; no harm could come to anyone here. What the men felt was a growing sense of  curio sity. Luckily, the time of day was a quiet one for this  particular  street, as the manhole in question was both larger than average as well as  located in the...

Reasons I dislike Nintendo

Reasons I dislike Nintendo  * As you're all probably well aware  the Nintendo Switch is out and along with that came a new  Zelda. Since this is a new video game, because let's not forget this is a video game  and not say; the second coming of Christ, game critics did their thing  and  reviewed the game. Zelda has been getting g ood reviews across the board,   one  critic (Jim Sterling) gave the game in question a 7 out of 10  (I believe it was a 7 .5 however as of writing getting onto his  site has proven to  be a tad difficult). My point being 7 (or 7.5) is a GOOD score and if you read his review (I skimmed it before  his site was DDoSed), oh did I not  mention  that happened? Cause it did, just to prove how insecure about their favorite games people are.  Where was I? Oh, yeah basically Jim actually gave a balanced review and said he actually like d the game but had some issues, much like what a g...
