I'm one of those idiots who pays for Playstation Plus, why? I have no clue. For those who don't know, because maybe you don't want to give away £40 a year or it's cause you have a decent computer that can run shit, YES I KNOW I'M BEING SALTY, but anyhow Playstation Plus is a subscription so that you can play online and every month you get a few games but they're mostly wank or I'm just not interested, however this month was rare because I found a game that I actually enjoyed and that was Gone Promo, I mean Home.

Story
Gone Porno is a very story based game, it is a "walking simulator" but I'll get into that later. You play the character Kaitlin Greenbriar who has recently came back from a road trip around Europe. You turn up at the mansion that your family have just recently moved into only to quickly find out that your family is no where to be found, your family consists of: your mother Janice who works looking after national parks, your father Terrence who is a failing author who mostly writes conspiracy theories and finally your sister Sam who seems to have a lot of trouble with people. There are two ways of finding out the story in this game, one way is find items that reveal diary entries wrote and read out by your sister, Sam. The second way is you can find things like letters or notes left around the house. It is quickly revealed that the story seems to revolve around Sam the most, this is certainly not a bad thing as that seems to be the story that I was getting into the most. The game is about two hours long at the most, this was a lot of peoples complaint about this game however I think the length of this game is a strength, this game in my opinion was the perfect length any longer and it would've overstayed it's welcome.

Gameplay
The gameplay of Gone Shalom is very slow, and I mean VERY VERY slow. I honestly feel like this game needs something like a sprint button or even a brisk walk button would have been lovely. I also feel like the controls could be a bit clunky somethings for example when trying to open doors the doors can get stuck, this really screws you over when trying to get some of the PS4 trophies, I also found the movement controls a bit tedious and not just because they're so slow but because they just seem so tanky. Those things in mind I do not mind the controls too much those are just little things that bother me. One thing I really did enjoy about this was exploring the massive house. I don't think it's a spoiler to say that this is an old house so you can guess it has hidden passages and loads of crawl spaces to explore, which I just adored. One thing I would like to say about Gone Rome is that this game is not a horror; however in my opinion it is more creepy than most horror games out there, just because you're all alone in this massive, creepy, house. On my first play through I was lucky enough to find most of the diary entries and I really got the story which made me enjoy it a lot more, I think if you missed a lot of stuff and didn't really explore then you're not getting the full experience and it could potentially sour your thoughts on this game.

Visuals
This game looks... Good, I don't think it's anything amazing or crazy but it definitely looks good, it's got a very cartoony sort of look to it that I really quite like, however there is a moment there are some paintings of the family where the faces looked quite weird but it's nothing big and I am willing to look past it because it's just a tiny thing that a noticed and holds no real value to anything else in the game because everything else looks good and there are other pictures of people where the faces look pretty normal. I think the art style helped the atmosphere with the flickering lights and the foreboding dark corridors.

I did enjoy this game quite a bit, however if this wasn't on Playstation Plus I don't think I would of payed £15 for it and if I did actually have to pay for it I honestly don't think I would've enjoyed this as much. That being said for what it is I enjoyed it, the story kept me interested and I wasn't really disappointed by the ending which is good for me cause normally the end is always the worst, I mean I refuse to finish Fallout 4.
